Näkemiin Suomi – Добро пожаловать в Россию

Good Bye Finland – Welcome Russia! Until next monday i will be in the territory of the eastern neigbours of my new home finland. Even though 90% of all my finish friends call me completely nutts for wanting to go to their old arche enemy i can’t wait to go to this never changing country. Oddly enough this trip is only the repetition of a holiday i spend with my parents about 8 years ago. Tonight I’ll board the ferry to St. Petersburg and arrive tuesday morning in the most european of all russian cities. Boarding a night train thursday night we’ll be arriving friday morning in the capital – Moscow. On Monday next week i should be back in Helsinki.

Oh by the way: Lets just hope that the predictions of my finish friends will not come true – They are convinced that by then i won’t be blogging about my trip but rather having ended up in the trunk of a russian mafia car .. We’ll see! Have a safe and wonderfull week everybody!

Hidden Helsinki City Race

Yesterday the Team “Lets Fly” competed in the Hidden Helsinki City Race. We made an respectfull 11th place. But of yourse as allway the competition was not as important as to get to know new people. Running around from 2 till 6 and partying a little more in Tivoli at night gave me the opportunity to meet new amazing people from other universities in Helsinki. Thanks to all the people organizing this great event, that was not purely based aroung alcohol (quite rare in Finland ..)

Arcadas Anti Drinking Songs

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Can you believe that? As a last assignment our photographie teacher made us do a cover for a fake CD called: “Arcada’s Anti Dirnking Songs”. Who shall buy a useless CD like that? I’m still shocked but have to admit that student and teacher reality on this school might differ at times – her is what i have come up with ..

Bow Tie feat Hanse Annual Ball

I really do not know when i wore a bow tie the last time but i guess it was during my enrollment to elemantary school. The pictures were taken 16 years ago and are nowadays still with my parents home in Berlin. Today i put one of those things on again – i am really excited to go to the Hanse Annual Ball in about 15 minutes. Special Thanks to Leon for renting it to me for the night! Have a safe weekend everybody – I’ll try not to do anything stupid tonight, but I’ll guess my fine clothes prevent me from acting like a proper exchange student!

Hyvää Suomi – Part 5

It has been a long time since the last Hyvää Suomi Podcast. This was not because because life has slowed down here in the north and i had not anything to film but rather the opposite has happened. Life has been very pleasant to me and thus busy. Great things have happened and i opted to experience as much as i can, rather than sitting in front of a computer and editing past memories. Now that my swedish exam today has actually been passed quite well and i really did not want to start anything else tonight i decided to finally take on Hyvää Suomi – Part 5. This Part staring Youssef and Bene who were brave enough to visit me in the strange north of Europe. I warned them

Busy Weekend – Nice End!

As allready posted the weekend had been kind of busy and thus i really could not do much but studying. Except – a great night at the Hosktoberfest on friday night – and an even better photowalk through autumn helsinki this afternoon. helsinki is just a blast right now – and the weather has been nice for about two or three hours. Enough for me to pack in my little baby and to run away from my humming computer and
