Living in 中国 Part 3

Some time has passed since the last episode and more than blogging it was about real adventures in this crazy country. Once again Youssef has been visiting me in a foreign country. He has done so in Finland and once again we had a great time discovering my current home country. Together with Jeanette we hiked through the national Park in Anchan. Since we were all not very fluent in the chinese language we asked some deaf-mute chinese friends to write us down the directions. Considering the odds it has worked fantastic and we were a lot of experiences richer. We enjoyed the friendly nature of the chinese nation and were eager to give them a photo opportunity of us as well. Even if nobody in this country can speak english they will never fail to try to help you. Now please enjoy Episode #3!

I have told you about the Apple Mania that has swept over China – iPhones, iPads and iPods wherever you look – No matter how dirty or poor your surrounding might look – the next high valued Apple product can not be far. I am just not sure if recently stepped down Steve Jobs might like what his fellow customers turned his creation into. Is it the year of the rabbit anyway?

Brothers in Arms

Last Weekend I have been traveling with a chinese train. It is one of the more intense experiences when you go to China. People everywhere, close body contact, even if you do not want to and in the middle of all of that relaxed chinese individuals. I am not sure what religion they use, but when the standard european is falling out of his mind these people just seem to find it. Big praise to the big brother for protecting his smaller kin.

Bye, Bye Steve! Just a couple of days ago I found these Books in a local Store, I guess they have gotten a little more iconic bye now. Everybody wanting to get some of the fascination associated to Steve Jobs please read Vig Gondutras Blog post about a special phone call. Icon Ambulance tells you a lot more than most of the published posts fluttering on the web these days! May you get better soon Steve!

Thanks to all the wonderful dancers and people on the market – their are a lot of pictures to publish!

Living in 中国 – Part 2

My first couple of days are over here in my new home in china and besides posting photos all around I have also decided to do a small first mesh up of video clips. Don’t worry if this episode of Living in 中国 is a little to hectic – thats just how life is here. My first few days in the city if Shenyang cover some of the following topics:

  • Buying Food
  • Buying Bikes
  • Making fools out of us by not being able to speak chinese
  • A wonderful city and its inhabitants

Thanks for this episode can only go to all the wonderful chinese people who can not speak english but are one of the nicest kind in the world. They will always help you out even if that means calling the whole street up to help to large weird looking individuals – China is surprising me for good!

My first Panoramic Picture in China

Is depicting the Hunhe RIver in Shenyang. The fishers on the shore urged me to stay half an hour longer but I really had to go because all the little mosquitos where a little to fond of me. Next time though I will stay longer anyway because from what I have heard their are some beautiful lights going on later in the night.
