Class Reunion

My Holidays have started and I want to share my first experiences from Berlin. Having passed my last exam ever during my studies at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich, I have moved on to my old home town of Berlin. Meeting a bunch of old class mates from 2007 has been a surprising get to gether of some fun individuals. Surprisingly none of them have changed all that much, and maybe thats even a good thing. These days we are really just getting, make barbecues and envy the good old times – The site was awesome and I want to Thank Marta and Basti for a wonderfully organized afternoon with a wonderful crowd – see you all again in five years ..

15 Years of RMCB

Going to Berlin for the weekend has been for multiple reasons this time:

• Needing rest and silence to study
• Wanting to see my family and friends
• Being on a Photographie Job

Yes, you have heard right – after shooting for a number of years just for fun and self procrastination the past few months have changed that attitude a little. Evolving myself being in Finland has brought me to a new mindset as a photographer. I am very happy that nowadays friends and strangers confront me with their own ideas first. Evolving them into real pictures has been a challenge and pleasure alike. This week my good friend Katha invited me to shoot the 15 year anniversary of her Rythm and Melody Concertband. Spending three days with musicians of all age groups has been a wonderful time and learning experience alike. Thank you for a job that really just felt like pleasure!

Orankeseefest 2011

As allready posted yesterday i spent my last days in germany at the “Eisbaderfasching” in Berlin – at the Lake “Orankesee“. Since the weather was really nice it was a blast to shoot this amazing scenery. Ice Bathing clubs from all over germany and even one from denmark gathered in the frozen lake in order to have fun in the ice water. For the first time we were even guarded by the water rescue team of Berlin. I might add that it was not needed though. In former years i actually used to bath their as well but nowadays i feel more respnsible for capturing nice memories. I hope you like my pics and had a good start in the new week! Eisbaden

Is the German word for Ice Bathing. I have been active since I am thirteen but have stopped since three years. Moving away from Berlin prevents you from a lot of things.. What it did not prevent me from is to go to their annual carneval ball today. Of course that happened in the ice and was just marvellous to watch! Some first impression gives the pic attached to this small post.
